Correctives for Turbulent Times is Topic, at March 5 Launch of Vanderbilt NYC Spring Faculty Series

With less than six months before an inaugural class of 96 undergraduate students arrive in Chelsea, Vanderbilt University NYC (VU-NYC) is moving full speed ahead with construction, repair, and other long-planned projects that will turn the former Genearl Theological Seminary digs into Vanderbilt’s foirst ca,m[ujs poiutsode their home base in Tennessee (we recently wrote about the process here). Outside the walls of VU-NYC’s fast-emerging Chelsea campus, the wider world is undergoing considerable changes of its own.

With markets in flux and national and global pressures reshaping the operating environment in 2026,” notes a recent press release, VU-NYC “will convene experienced leaders to examine how leaders across business, finance, and the non-profit sector navigate economic uncertainty and rapid change.”

And so it is–or will be, when the school kicks off its Spring 2026 Faculty Series withManaging Disruption: The Role of Business in Turbulent Times.” Giving voice to perspectives representing philanthropy, entrepreneurship, investing, and academia, the highly-likely-to-be-lively conversation features Ms. Foundation for Women President & CEO Teresa Younger; co-founder and former CEO of Nutrafol Giorgos Tsestis; and VU-NYC’s’s Dean of Owen Graduate School Tom J. Steenburgh. The moderator is Alex Goldmark of NPR’s Planet Money.
