Community Board Application Period Extended Through March 6 | The March Full Board Meeting of Manhattan Community Board 4 (MCB4) | West Side Community Fund: Spring 2026 Grant Cycle

Manhattan Community Board Applications Accepted Through March 6 | Newly installed Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal (MBP) has already embarked upon one of his marquee responsibilities: Appointing new members to Manhattan community boards. “I served on my local community board for over a decade and deeply appreciate the importance they serve to the local planning process, budget priorities, and city services. I hope you’ll consider serving, too,” said the MBP in a January 21 email to constituents. In order to be considered for appointment, a complete application must be submitted online or postmarked by no later than 5pm on Friday, March 6, 2026 (extended from the original deadline of Feb. 27). The March Full Board Meeting of Manhattan Community Board 4 (MCB4): Wednesday, March 5, 6:30pm Online Via YouTube & Zoom and In-Person at Pier 57 Classrooms (25 11th Ave. at W. 15th St.) | Almost always assembling on the first Wednesday of the month, the complete roster of MCB4 members’ main business involves voting on letters generated by their various committees.
Before that, the Public Session is a “say anything” opportunity for civilians, as is the Public Hearing, which solicits public comment on the mayor’s Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2027). In each Public speaking opportunity, two minutes is the usual per-person allotment–but it’s MCB4’s prerogative to cut that in half. There’s a sign-up sheet on site for in-person attendees; online, you can sign up when registering to attend via Zoom (to do so, click here). Reports from local electeds or their reps are also a regular feature; the March meeting also has stand-alone spots for 10th Precinct Commanding Officer Timothy Wong and Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal.
To attend by phone, call 646-828-7666 (Webinar ID: 161 368 0437). To attend via Zoom, click here. Livestream the meeting on the MCB4 YouTube channel, which archives all of its public meetings, allowing you access them at your convenience.
