A Conversation About the Future of Penn Station: Monday, November 24, 5pm Online via Zoom | NYC Council Member Erik Bottcher–whose District 3 coverage area includes Chelsea–presents another installment of Policy Perspectives, a free online forum that finds the Council Member in conversation with “leaders and experts who are shaping the future of our city.” The future of Penn Station is the topic this time around, and the guest is transportation expert Andy Byford (currently serving as Special Advisor to the Amtrak Board of Directors on the redevelopment of Penn Station). Attendees won’t be consigned to the sidelines–they’ll have the opportunity to ask questions. To attend this free, registration-required event, click here.

Take the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) Community Needs Assessment Survey | This collection of feedback gives NewYorkers the chance to shape the future of their neighborhoods by identifying what City programs and services are needed the most. Happening now through November (and possibly further into the fall), the online survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. ”Your answers,” the DYCD assures, “are confidential and anonymous and will be used only for program planning.” To take the survey, click here.
