Creating a Safe Home & Community: Support Domestic Workers and Caregivers! / Saturday, January 24, 11am to 12:30pm at Holy Apostles Church (296 9th Ave. at W. 28th St.) |The Limited Equity & Affordability at Penn South group (aka LEAPS) said, in a recent email sent to its Penn South and Chelsea neighbors, “Some of the most vulnerable people in Chelsea are immigrants who work as domestic workers and caregivers. They work in our homes as house cleaners, healthcare workers, aides, and nannies. Some have worked with us for years and we know them well, and some have just started working with us. Some come from agencies and some from private referrals. No matter what, we must make their safety our concern. This training will give us concrete ways we can do that!” RSVP is required to attend.
