Somos Pulse! / Primary Election Info / Down to Earth Farmers Market Chelsea

Gays Against Guns Invites You to Somos Pulse! — A Rally Honoring the Livces Lost and Committing to Fight Anti-LGBTQIA Hatred: Friday, June 12, 6pm to 7:30pm at The Center  (Room 101 at 208 W. 13th St.)| This year marks the first full decade for Gays Against Guns–an “inclusive, direct-action group of LGBTQ+ people and their allies committed to nonviolently breaking the gun industry’s chain of death.” It’s no mere coincidence that we’re also coming up on the tenth anniversary of the mass murder at Pulse—a gay nightclub in Orlando, FL where a single shooter killed 49 people and woulded 58. This June 12 rally from GAG calls for you to join them in honoring the lives lost and other lived left forever altered as a result of Pulse. It’s also an occason to continue, with renewed commitment, the fight against gun violence and the industry that perpetuates it. See the below flyer for more info…

The Primary Election: Essential Info | Polls are open from 6am to 9pm on Tuesday, June 23—Primary Election Day. But you don’t have to wait until then. The first step: Click here to make sure you’re registered to vote (to check by phone, dial 1-866-3692). If not, you’ve got until June 13 to register. To do so online, click here.

Early Voting takes place daily, from June 13 to 21. To find your pollsite and view a sample ballot, click here. Hours: 9am-5pm on June 13-15 and 19-21; 10am-8pm on June 16-17; and 8am-4pm on June 18. For more need-to-know info, click here for the New York Public Library’s Voting in NYC guide.
