Here’s What’s Happening This Week (in order of appearance):
MBP Brad Hoylman-Sigal’s Manhattan Borough Book Club / The Economic Development & Public Safety Committee Meeting of Manhattan Community Board 4 (MCB4) / Primary Election Info / Down to Earth Farmers Market Chelsea
Manhattan Borough President (MBP) Brad Hoylman-Sigal’s Manhattan Borough Book Club: Tuesdsy, June 16, 5pm-7pm at NY Historical (170 CPW at 77th St.) | MBP Hoylman-Sigal engages authors in coversation, in this new series. Find out all about the June 16 installment in the below flyer, whic also contains instructions on 2 ways to register for this free event.

The Economic Development & Public Safety Committee Meeting of Manhattan Community Board 4 (MCB4): Thursday, June 18, 6:30pm Online via YouTube & Zoom or In-Person at the MCB4 Office (630 9th Ave., Suite 208; btw. W. 44th & 45th Sts.) | This newly created committee—so new that as we went to press, the MCB4 website had no descriptive text or list of its leadership and members—convenes on June 18 for the first time. What we do know, from visiting the MCB4 website, is that Agenda Item #1 will involve an evaluation of the B&H Foto Capital Project, which seeks to “retain and expand the Company’s business operations at the existing facility at 440 9th Avenue, and a new facility at 333 W. 34th St.” The only other item on the agenda has the members of this new committee in a conceptual discussion—during which, one supposes, they’ll be asking the big questions we all ask of ourselves at one time or another: Why are we here? What is our purpose? Will people come to know and love our acronym (EDPSC)… To attend via Zoom, click here. To attend by phone, dial 646-828-7666 (Webinar ID: 165 103 0134). In addition, all MCB4 committee meetings are livestreamed through MCB4’s Youtube Channel. Missed the meeting? They’re all archived so you can access them 24/7/365, after-the-fact.
