This Week in Chelsea: Oct. 28-Nov. 3, 2019

Saturday, November 2: HRPT Pumpkin Smash | See below flyer for details.

Saturday, November 2: Free AAA Screening. See the below flyer for details.

Wednesday, October 30: The 10th Precinct Community Council | Let your community policing issues be heard, at this monthly meeting where Chelsea residents can hear the latest crime stats, ask questions, and get public safety tips. The meeting is normally helmed by the Precinct’s Commanding Officer, Capt. Kevin J. Coleman; the Council president is Larry O’Neill. The Council meets on the last Wed. of the month, 7pm, normally at the 10th Precinct (230 W. 20th St. btw. 7th & 8th Aves.). This time, however, they will meet in a conference room at Penn South: 7pm, 343 Eighth Ave. For more information, call the Community Affairs Office, at 212-741-8226. The main number is 212-741-8211. On Facebook: www.facebook.com/NYPD10PCT.

Wednesday, October 30: The PS11 Farm Market | PS11 Farm Market this week will be held on Wednesday, October 30, from 8-9:30am. The third graders who run the market recently visited Stoneledge Farm to get firsthand knowledge about where this local, organic, seasonal food comes from. Stop by  to see what they have learned. The season is winding down–only three more markets left this fall. Ms. Bouchard’s third graders will be managing this week. Look for them under the scaffolding, outside of PS11 (320 W. 21st St. btw. 8th & 9th Aves.).  This market is presented in partnership with Stoneledge Farm.

Tuesday, October 29: Senior Resource Fair | See the below flyer for details.

Monday, October 28: How the New Rent Laws Affect You | See the below flyer for details.

Monday, October 28: Family-Friendly, Halloween-Themed Theater Event | St. Peter’s Chelsea and Theatre of the Elephant present an homage to outcast souls. “!MONSTERS!SPEAK!” is a family-friendly, pre-Halloween theater event. Written by William Henry Koch, Jr., this dramatic and fun reading sees three monsters (Frankenstein’s creature! Kharis, the mummy! Quasimodo, the hunchback!) tell their own story. Mon., Oct. 28, 6pm at St. Peter’s Chelsea (346 W. 20th St. btw. 8th & 9th Aves.). This is a fund-raiser for St. Peter’s Chelsea. Suggested donation at the door is $10.
