Lecture: Stonewall: A Building. An Uprising. A Revolution | As part of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center’s Second Tuesday lecture series, author Rob Sanders and illustrator Jamey Christoph sit down with Lindsay Amer, the creative force behind Queer Kid Stuff (an indie webseries educating kids on LGBTQ+ and social justice topics), to read and discuss Stonewall: A Building. Sanders, author of the acclaimed Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag, presents this powerful and timeless true story that will allow young readers to discover the rich and dynamic history of the Stonewall Inn and its role in the LGBTQ civil rights movement. Movingly narrated by the Stonewall Inn itself, The Center notes, Stonewall: A Building. An Uprising. A Revolution “is an essential and empowering civil rights story that every child deserves to hear.”

This free event takes place Tues., May 14, 7-9pm at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (208 W. 13th St. btw. Greenwich & 7th Aves.).
